The employee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maryan Moroz gave several bribes to stay in the rear, but still got to the front. Having been captured by Russian fighters, he said that he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine because the country's borders were closed, and it was impossible to get a job without a military ID card.
At the military enlistment office, he gave a bribe so that he would not be sent to the war zone.
"I was left to serve in the rear due to the fact that I paid five thousand dollars to an employee of the commissariat," Channel Five quotes the prisoner as saying.
Then he got into the military college of non-commissioned officers in Lviv. However, even there they had to pay an officer not to be sent to the front line. According to the Ukrainian, this time he gave three thousand dollars.
For the third time, they were asked to pay in a unit in the Ternopil region, but Frost no longer had money. Then he was transferred to Sumy region, where military operations were already underway.
"I was given one grenade, cartridges for a machine gun. He was captured when we were taking up another position… We were captured and we surrendered," said Moroz.
He also noted that the Russian military treat him well.
"They fed me, gave me a drink, if they need any medical help, they provide it, they don't refuse," the prisoner said.
