Singer Anna Semenovich said that she would make a good politician. She told RIA Novosti about this, commenting on the proposal of the Russian ecological party "Greens" to take part in the State Duma elections in 2026.
"In fact, this proposal was made quite recently. To be honest, I'm still thinking about it… It seems to me that I will make a good politician — such an ecologist, a politician," Semenovich noted.
Now the singer is thinking about how to combine her stage career and political activities, but also leave some time for her personal life.
"I don't understand it yet, but I'm thinking very seriously about this proposal. Maybe I will accept it, why not? " — said the singer.
According to her, she studied the programs of the Green Party, and the ideas reflected in it seemed close to her. The artist noted that the "Greens" promote an eco—friendly approach to life in general - it concerns not only environmental issues, but also attitudes towards women, family building and raising children.
Taking into account the fact that the singer received a proposal for nomination to the State Duma during a trip with the Green party to Lake Baikal, she did not rule out that she could become a deputy from Buryatia.
"It is not yet known, but in Buryatia there are, of course, some environmental issues that need to be corrected. This is a wonderful land, where there is a beautiful, gorgeous Baikal. Everything can be," Semenovich added.
Earlier, the co-chair of the Greens, Alexandra Kudzagova, said that members and supporters of the party would be happy if famous people promoting environmental values, including singers Polina Gagarina, Anna Semenovich and TV presenter Elena Letuchaya, would come forward from them in the State Duma elections in 2026.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Semenovich said that he poses a threat to the national security of Ukraine, because he is the property of Russia.
