According to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who spoke at the State Duma on March 26 with a report on the work of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2024, the main factor in price growth in the country is still the high margins of intermediaries.
"One of the significant factors of price growth remains the margins of intermediaries. It is clear that the goods need to be beautifully packaged and delivered to the buyer, but the cost of these services should not go beyond reasonable. Especially in conditions when the country is solving complex tasks," the Prime Minister of the country said.
Mishustin especially clarified that in the process of forming the report, the government held meetings with factions in order to identify issues that most concern citizens. And one of the main issues is just a noticeable increase in prices.
The Russian Prime Minister also recalled the great work of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in regulating the prices of essential products.
EADaily previously informed that as part of the report in the State Duma, an indicator of the growth of federal budget revenues in 2024 was named.
