Persons assisting foreign organizations, as well as involving citizens in the collection of military-technical information about Russia, are planned to be recognized in Russia by foreign agents. This follows from initiatives aimed at preventing interference in the domestic policy of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the vice-speaker of the State Duma, one of the authors of the bills Irina Yarovaya.
"The forms of foreign influence may be of a different nature. We propose to recognize as foreign agents persons who provide assistance to foreign organizations acting contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation, and persons who involve citizens in the collection of military-technical information, which, if received by foreign sources, can be used against the security of our country," the deputy noted.
According to her, the bills were submitted to the State Duma on Friday by a group of deputies headed by State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, TASS reports.
