People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov will arrive in Russia shortly before the funeral of his father, People's Artist of Russia Bedros Kirkorov, singer Margot Ovsyannikova said at the premiere of the Turkish TV series "El Turko".
According to Ovsyannikova, she contacted Philip Kirkorov, who was abroad, after the news of his father's death. She noted that, despite his grief, Philip congratulated her on her son's birthday, Channel Five reports.
"Yesterday I had a holiday — my son's birthday, and such terrible news. Of course, I wrote to Philip, despite this, he congratulated me on my holiday," said Ovsyannikova.
Ovsyannikova noted another "terrible coincidence" — on the day of Kirkorov Sr.'s funeral, tomorrow, March 21, her birthday will already be hers.
