Russian troops are preparing for the new use of their newest mobile missile system "Oreshnik" on military infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Legitimate", referring to an informed source in Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU).
He said that by now the Russian Armed Forces have received about six Oreshnik installations, some of which can be used in Ukraine at any time.
Bankova claims that the Kremlin has already held meetings on the selection of targets for strikes with the use of "Hazel". Thus, everything points to an escalation of hostilities.
The Ukrainian military expects that the strike is likely to be massive and hybrid. In addition to the "Hazel" itself, several more types of missiles and UAVs will participate in it.
"The Kremlin is biding its time. Probably waiting for the results of the negotiations on March 6, where an understanding of the further game should appear," the authors of the insider conclude.
Recall that the Oreshnik missile system was first used in November 2024. The blow was inflicted on the Ukrainian defense enterprise in Dnepropetrovsk. The rocket is capable of reaching speeds of up to 11 mach, its flight range reaches 5.5 thousand kilometers.
As reported by EADaily, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the warheads of the medium-range ballistic missile (MRBMS) "Oreshnik" can withstand temperatures equal to the temperature on the surface of the Sun.
