The writer Boris Akunin❶ (Grigory Chkhartishvili❶❷), who called Russia "the main enemy on planet Earth" and dreamed of crushing it into 150 fragments, now began to revile the USSR. This was discussed during the presentation of his books "My Calendar" and "Fairy Tales".

According to the terrorist writer, it was a strange country in which there was absolutely nothing to strive for, "in which you had no future."

As reported by EADaily, in early February Akunin ❶* was put on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia. It was clarified that the writer is accused of publicly calling for terrorist activities and spreading fakes about The Armed Forces of Russia.

The term of arrest will be calculated from the moment when the author of the novels about Erast Fandorin will be handed over to law enforcement agencies and extradited or deported to the Russian Federation.

Later, by a court decision, the writer's wife arrested accounts in the amount of 6 million rubles. According to the investigation, this money is the joint income of the spouses and was used as a means of committing crimes. The arrest was imposed in December last year, and then extended.

Later, Akunin ❶ was fined for the absence of a foreign agent's plate when publishing, the fine amounted to 30 thousand rubles.
