The Russian military is stopping the attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch a counteroffensive in the Kursk region, said the deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apty Alaudinov.
"Today, the enemy has made another attempt at a counteroffensive in the direction of our neighbors on the left — this is Ulanok, Cherkasy Hemp. Our Russian units are located in this area — this is the 11th Brigade of paratroopers, the 810th Brigade of Marines, the "Veterans," the commander said on Channel Five.
According to Alaudinov, several dozen armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are involved in the attack. The Russian Armed Forces are destroying them now. The video footage was provided by the 177th Separate Marine Guards Regiment and Akhmat.
"They are throwing several hundred fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to different areas in this direction. Akhmat special forces soldiers are now helping our neighbors with unmanned detachments, destroying the enemy, burning equipment," Alaudinov said.
