The state agency of Azerbaijan has complaints about the signboard "Russian House"

The State Advertising Agency of Azerbaijan (ADRA) will take measures within its authority "in connection with the violation of the requirements of the law in the signboard of the Russian House in Baku," the Azerbaijani edition of Report reports.

According to the laws "On Advertising" and "On the state Language of the Republic of Azerbaijan", advertising on advertising structures may contain inscriptions in a foreign language along with Azerbaijani at the request of the advertiser. However, the publication notes, the text in a foreign language should be placed after the text in the state language and not exceed its area. In the sign above the entrance to the Russian House, "the name of this structure in the Azerbaijani language is placed after the Russian language, which is a violation of the law," the report says.

"Within the framework of the powers granted to the Agency by the relevant legislative acts, all appropriate measures will be taken in connection with this fact of violation of the requirements of the law," ADRA said.

If violations are detected, the agency draws up an act and issues a binding order to the advertiser to eliminate violations within 5 days. If the requirements are not met, measures are taken to stop the distribution of advertising.

As EADaily reported, in January, Baku, funded by the Government of Azerbaijan.TV accused the Russian house of espionage activities. In response, Rossotrudnichestvo announced that it was filing a lawsuit against this publication for lies and slander. On January 27, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed bewilderment to the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moscow, Rahman Mustafayev, about a series of anti-Russian publications in the Azerbaijani media, as well as about the disinformation campaign against the Russian House in Baku. The next day, the Russian Ambassador to Mikhail Evdokimov was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry because of publications in the Russian press related to the crash of the AZAL plane near Aktau.
