Residents of the village of Staroe, Rivne region of Ukraine, which is located near the Belarusian border, protested against roadblocks and border barriers.
As reported in his Telegram channel on February 4, Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmytruk, in total, several hundred people took part in the protest action.
The demonstrators demanded to fill up the ditches dug around the village and dismantle the barbed wire fences erected around the perimeter of the settlement.
At the same time, local residents point to the fact that there are no Belarusian military formations on the other side of the border, with which the Kiev Zelensky regime has been scaring the Ukrainian people for several years.
Information about the protest action at the border was confirmed by the press center of the State Border Service of Ukraine (GBSU). They reported that, among other things, residents demanded not to check vehicles and military registration documents for men.
There were also demands to allow unhindered harvesting of wild plants (mushrooms, berries) near the state border, which is a source of income for many villagers.
Earlier, EADaily reported that according to the Belarusian side, more than 40 provocations were committed on the border from Ukraine in 2024.
