Russian President Vladimir Putin was surprised that the average salary in Moscow does not exceed 160 thousand rubles. This happened at a meeting of the Board of Trustees of Moscow State University, in which the head of state personally participated.
Addressing the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, the President noted that wages and working conditions, including for young professionals, should correspond to the status of the country's leading university.
"It still, in my opinion, lags a little behind the average in Moscow," the president said.
However, the Moscow mayor objected, saying that the average salary in the capital of Russia is about 140-160 thousand rubles. Surprised, Putin did not believe it:
"Come on! More!"
However, Sobyanin confirmed his data, which forced the president to admit that the salary in The university corresponds to the average in Moscow. The Russian leader noted that in this case the university had fulfilled the established standards, but urged not to weaken attention to this problem.
As EADaily reported, earlier Vladimir Putin promised that Russia would build work to support the relocation of the necessary specialists from the CIS countries. At the same time, we are talking primarily about representatives of key ethnic groups of the Russian Federation.
