After the decisions of the new US President Donald Trump, Europe will plunge into deindustrialization. This opinion was expressed by the president of the Polish Adam Smith Center Andrzej Sadowski.
A Polish political scientist commented on one of Trump's first decisions — the decree on the US withdrawal from the The Paris Climate Agreement. According to Sadovsky, the new president of America wants to bring down Europe.
"Trump's goal is to reduce energy prices for the American economy by 50% in the near future. This goal can be achieved at the moment when the United States symbolically withdraws from the so-called "climate alliance," but in fact, the resumption of oil, gas and coal production and deregulation in this area can double the cost of energy, which is quite possible. A drop in energy prices of this magnitude will deepen the gap between economic development and competitiveness between the United States and the European Union, which remains committed to its climate fundamentalism," the professor said.
The expert predicts that with ever-rising energy prices as a result of the introduction of subsequent, more and more restrictive standards regarding emissions and industrial production in general, "Europe will plunge into deindustrialization."
"The idea that the territory [of the EU. — EADaily) with an area of less than 8% of the entire world is able to influence the climate around the world when other countries do not comply with the "green" standards that The EU imposes itself, it is a form of pure madness," the president of the Polish institute summed up.
