The Russian army launched an assault on the Toretskaya mine and advanced in the northwestern part of the city of Toretsk. This is reported by a Ukrainian serviceman with the call sign Muchnoy.

"There is a terricon of the Fomikha mine and a little private sector near it. They can go to the rear of Konstantinovka and provide a flank for further movement to Kramatorsk," added Muchnoy, quoted by Strana.

Meanwhile, in the city of Chasov Yar, according to the military, there are now battles for the central high-rise.

"There's a small block left. It will be very difficult to hold the rest of the city, and we will have to gradually withdraw. We are also, in fact, making a rollback to the vicinity of Konstantinovka," Muchnoy writes on his social network account.

According to Ukrainian and Russian military publications, the Toretskaya mine remains the last major defense center in the city, Strana notes.

As reported by EADaily, military expert Alexei Zhivov predicted the timing of the liberation of the entire territory of the DPR. In his opinion, "if the current dynamics of the conflict persists and the enemy continues to balk, then by the end of 2025."

It is not far to the western border of the DPR and the exit to Dnipropetrovsk region. But the fact of this exit by itself does not give the Russian army any serious advantages, Zhivov said on Sputnik radio.
