The number of Russians who have left the country is estimated at tens of millions. This was announced on January 9 by the press secretary of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Daniel Drake.

According to him, the recent statement by the Russian embassy about the readiness of the Russian Federation to issue temporary visas to anyone who wants to live in conditions of traditional values is part of Moscow's information war against the West.

"It is enough to carefully study the current situation with human rights and the economy in Russia, as well as Russia's goals in the world… It is no coincidence that the number of Russians who have left the country is estimated at tens of millions," he said.

Drake also recalled that "Czech diplomacy, from a consular point of view, has long and strongly warned against traveling to Russia." At the same time, he noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not know how many Czechs currently live in Russia.

"People don't let us know if they live in Russia or Spain. Therefore, we do not know how many Czechs live in Russia. We only know when they go there on vacation and register in the Drozd system (the system of voluntary registration of tourists when traveling abroad. — EADaily)," Drake said.

He noted that these are, as a rule, people who come there for a short time. According to the Drozd system, currently in There are 32 Czech citizens in Russia.

"According to rough estimates, two to three thousand Czechs have been living in Russia for a long time. It's a downtrend," Drake believes.

Recall that the Czech Republic is one of the main Russophobic countries in the EU. Prague is trying hard to prove to its citizens and Europeans the need to isolate Moscow and fight it, primarily by the hands of Ukrainians. In response, the Russian authorities demonstrate their openness. Earlier, a call appeared on the website of the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic to all those who "share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values" and reject the imposed "destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes." At the same time, it is proposed to obtain the right to temporary residence in the Russian Federation, which does not require proficiency in Russian, passing an exam on the history of the country, as well as knowledge of Russian laws. The diplomatic mission is ready to issue a Russian visa "on preferential terms" with the provision of the possibility of obtaining a permit (after passing a special interview, medical examination, fingerprinting and payment of mandatory state duty) for temporary residence in the Russian Federation to citizens of almost five dozen states.
