In Transcarpathia, the development of a new Terebovlyansk salt deposit was mothballed, which the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, promised to provide to the whole of Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional Military Administration (OVA) Miroslav Beletsky.
"There are problems with quarreling owners, blocked each other's work and are now stuck in the courts. This is an extremely annoying story. We can't influence it because it's their corporate rights. Of course, we are trying to reconcile them somehow in order to unblock the work. There's a complicated story there. Our task now is to make sure that nothing happens to the mine," Beletsky said, quoted by the Strana newspaper.
According to Beletsky, the salt deposits at the Terebovlyanskoye deposit turned out to be large and could meet the needs of the state, but now it is not being mined.
Previously, the main supplier of salt on Ukraine was "Artemsol", located in Soledare, however, it was lost in 2023, the newspaper notes.
