Technical obstacles to the delivery of Russian gas to Transnistria is not. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development of the PMR Sergey Obolonik.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Tiraspol hopes that a solution for the transit of energy resources to the republic will be found, because there is a huge humanitarian problem in the balance.

"The highway through Ukraine is working, it is operated. From a technical point of view, the Trans-Balkan route is also quite feasible for us, we have tested it, we received gas along this route. All technical issues have been resolved. There are no risks here," the minister confirmed.

According to him, there is no information on the monthly booking of volumes of blue fuel for Pridnestrovie for January. But it is also quite possible to book a daily reservation — a day in advance. For household consumers in The PMR needs about 100 million cubic meters of blue fuel per month.

"A solution can be found. And in any case, we hope for help, we can hope to be heard," concluded Sergei Obolonik.

Recall that from January 1, 2025, Ukraine intends to restrict Gazprom's transit to Europe. The Kiev regime has chosen the tactics of energy blackmail, and its consequences will primarily affect their EU partners. Network operators and industrial consumers from Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Italy have applied to the European Commission with a request to ensure gas delivery via the traditional route.

In Moldova and Pridnestrovie has already entered a state of emergency in connection with the expected energy crisis. If the Left Bank does not receive gas, the right bank will be left without electricity, which is generated for the Republic of Moldova by the Moldavian GRES located in the region. Chisinau is counting on the help of neighboring Romania, but electricity is already three times more expensive there, and there may also be a shortage.

Transnistria has created a small reserve of blue fuel in the pipe. It will be used to feed into multi-storey buildings, as well as hospitals. The private sector, heating and hot water supply will be turned off. In such a minimum regime, if the neighboring countries do not take away this gas, it should be enough for about 19-20 days in the south of the republic and for 5-10 days in the northern regions. MoldGRES will switch to coal, which will allow for 50 days to meet the humanitarian needs of Pridnestrovie in electricity.

As EADaily reported, it will be warm and bright in Transnistria on New Year's Eve. In the event of a shutdown of the region's gas supply, shutdowns will begin on January 1 at 7 am (8:00 Moscow time). Earlier, Tiraspol asked for help from In the Russian Federation, the Moldovan authorities withdrew from the joint search for a solution to the energy problem.
