"As I have already said, we are now in Uzbekistan. When we were in Nukus, we were invited to a conversation by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Earlier, the territorial department of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications in Karakalpakstan reported that a preliminary check established that the activities of foreign journalists were carried out without first obtaining accreditation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is a violation of current legislation.
