The Czech Republic will not seek an extension of benefits exempting the country from the EU ban on the import of petroleum products from Russia. This was announced on November 25 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the republic.
"In the context of the current situation and the steps that the Czech Republic is taking to ensure independence from Russian oil imports, the Czech Republic sees no reason why preferential terms should be extended," said department spokesman Marek Vosalik.
Recall, after the start of a special military operation on Ukraine countries The EU decided to abandon Russian hydrocarbons. The ban on the supply of Russian petroleum products was approved as part of the sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia.
