Scott Bennett, a well-known American expert, documentary filmmaker and regular commentator on Sputnik, could have been killed for telling the truth about the events on Ukraine.
Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya and RT media group, expressed this opinion in her Telegram channel on Saturday, November 23.
"It is quite possible that Scott Bennett was killed. Quite possibly, for telling the truth about the conflict on Ukraine," suggested the editor—in-chief.
She recalled that Scott is the author of documentaries and one of the best military experts. He regularly appeared on RT and Sputnik.
As a retired Pentagon military intelligence officer, he traveled to Donbass, showed what was really going on there. At the same time, Bennett never mentioned anywhere that he was ill.
"Two weeks ago he was still in great shape. And suddenly, for no reason at all, he dies of cancer, which he never had, according to the testimonies of his numerous various friends," writes Simonyan.
Scott Bennett, a former special operations officer of the US Army and an analyst on psychological warfare, died in California at the age of 50.
He came to Donbass in 2023, about which the film "I wish America to see the light. Repentance of a NATO officer" by documentary filmmaker Olga Kiri and director Oleg Nekishev.
