Honored Artist of Russia, Premier of the Mariinsky Theater Vladimir Shklyarov died two days before a complex spinal surgery. This was reported in the press service of the theater.

"Vladimir Shklyarov had a back injury, and on Monday, November 18, a complicated spinal surgery was scheduled," RIA Novosti quoted a source in the institution as saying.

The interlocutor of the agency added that the artist had been taking serious painkillers all this time.

As EADaily reported, the tragic death of Vladimir Shklyarov became known on November 16. The circumstances of the death in the press service of the theater did not specify. The actor was 39 years old.
