The CEC of Georgia has announced new data on the counting of votes in the country's parliamentary elections.
The ruling Georgian Dream is in the lead with 53.028% of the vote.
As reported by EADaily, the chairman of the CEC of Georgia, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, earlier declared the parliamentary elections in the country to have taken place and said that the Georgian Dream was leading with 52.98%. These were the first data of the CEC after processing data from 69% of polling stations.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, without waiting for the final results of the CEC, congratulated the Georgian Dream "on an impressive victory" in the elections.
"The people of Georgia know what is best for their country, and today their voice has been heard!" — said Orban.
