Black Sea Fleet Marines destroyed a column of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region — Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation told about the combat work of the military personnel of the Black Sea Fleet Marine Brigade (Black Sea Fleet) operating as part of the North group of forces.

The corresponding material was published on October 25 by the press service of the military department. It says that the Marines continue to successfully dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants from the settlements of the Kursk region, destroy enemy military equipment and manpower.

It is also noted that the enemy often leaves positions in a hurry, leaving NATO weapons and ammunition on the battlefield.

The gunner-operator of the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier of the Black Sea Fleet Marine brigade with the call sign "Kasper" told how he destroyed three enemy armored combat vehicles at once.

"We hid in a forest belt, they drove by, did not notice us. We joined them from behind and, as they began to unload the troops, I opened fire on them. The first one immediately caught fire," the military said

The platoon commander of the Black Sea Fleet Marine brigade with the call sign "Kolovrat" stressed that success in combat is achieved thanks to ingenuity, high level of training and competent tactics.

"Organized two ambushes. The enemy was moving in a column of up to 20 units, which included Stryker, MaxxPro and Cossacks. One of our armored personnel carriers met, the second finished off. At first, they fired armor-piercing, after stopping the vehicles, during disembarkation, the troops were destroyed from the PKT. I personally prepared the crews," the commander said.

The Ministry of Defense noted that thanks to the active actions of the Black Sea Fleet marines in In the Kursk region, the enemy suffers daily losses and retreats from the previously captured territory.
