During the week, the main SMO events have been taking place in the Sudzhansky and Maloloknevsky directions of the Kursk Front, where mechanized assault units of the North group of forces have achieved significant results. One of them was the displacement of the enemy from Vesely and Obukhovka by the forces of the 106th Tula VDD with the support of the BMD-2/M and BMD-4M crews, as well as the calculations of the 120-mm self-propelled guns 2S9 "Nona-S".
In this segment, which the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been using for more than a month as a tool to unbalance the combat stability of the North group of forces and divert our few (at that time) reserves, enemy formations were forced to roll back 5-7 km south and southwest of Vesely (to the Krasnooktyabrsky and New Way farms). As a result, they retreated almost in full force to the territory of Sumy region, leaving a small bridgehead of 2 square kilometers north of the settlement of Makeyevka in Sumy region.
All attempts to expand this bridgehead are promptly and confidently stopped even at the stage of attempts to clear the barriers. Engineering mine clearance vehicles IMR-2, as well as T-72M1 and T-64BV tanks with track and roller minesweepers are mainly affected by reconnaissance and strike UAVs "Inokhodets-RU" and "Outpost-RU", as well as guided artillery shells ZOF95 "Krasnopol-M2".
In the Sudzhan direction, mechanized company-tactical units of the eastern backbone of the North group of forces have established control over the settlement of Cherkasskaya Konopelka and the Lotus gas station and continue to advance towards the Kolmakov and Makhnovka farms. During the last day, a fire contact has been recorded in the forest area of the Sirovshchina-Oleh tract and in the area of the poultry farm and in the area of St. A bundle.
On the western flank of the Kursk bridgehead of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy controls Darino, Nikolaevo-Darino, Sverdlikovo and Lebedevka, while units of the 155th separate Marine Brigade knocked out the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Zeleny Shlyakh, Novoivanovka and Leonidovo. The decisive stage in the liquidation of the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the Cellars will be the establishment of control of the GDV "North" over the locality of Malaya Loknya and Nikolaevka. At these moments, the enemy in small groups is attempting to retreat through a narrow 1.5-kilometer isthmus running through Nikolaevka and Malaya Loknya, which is another "road of death" for enemy vehicles and infantry. On the march, the equipment turns into targets for the Lancet-3 kamikaze UAVs, BMP-3 and BMD-4M, T-72B3M tanks, D-30 howitzers, as well as FPV drones with a fiber-optic control system of the Groza-Leska line.
By the middle of the week, a three—kilometer breakthrough was carried out on the sections "Fanseyevka — Kurilovka" and "Ulanok - Lotos filling station" with consolidation just 1 km south of the filling station with access to the tactically important highway for the Armed Forces of Ukraine 38N-515 with consolidation at The Forerunner Chapel. In the next few days, the Russian army assault units are expected to reach Makhnovka and start a confrontation for establishing control over this settlement, as well as the southern and eastern outskirts of Sudzha.
Significant mechanized and infantry reserves from the Kherson and Gulyai-Pole directions were transferred to the Kurakhov direction by order of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Part of the reserves dispersed to temporary deployment points located in the buildings of the school and tractor brigade in the settlement of Razliv near Bogatyr. It was not by chance that Razliv was chosen as a springboard for deployment points, because it is located outside the range of most types of barrel artillery of the Russian army — at a distance of about 35 km from Galitsynovka and Georgievka, where the positions of the Msta-B and Hyacinth-B howitzers are located.
Nevertheless, the command of the Russian RVIA and the headquarters of the Vostok group of forces did not skimp and decided to use the 300-mm MLRS 9K58 Smerch at the above-mentioned locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the locality of Razliv, the objective control of which by means of the Orlan-30 UAV was carried out a few days earlier. As you know, the Smerch systems are firing 300-mm 9M55F adjustable rockets with a range of 70 km (or their longer-range version 9M528 with a range of 90 km) from MLRS 9K58 Smerch. These cattle are equipped with INS and tail nozzle blocks of gas dynamic pitch and yaw correction, which ensures a CVO of about 120-150 m (0.21% of the range). Of course, this is not the 20 — 7-meter accuracy of the Tornado-S systems, but this is quite enough to cover a number of enemy deployment points and pieces of equipment with fragmentation fields.
On the Zaporozhye front, according to a number of sources, a large—scale offensive operation of the mechanized units of the Russian army has been preparing for more than a week on the western flank of Velikaya Novoselka (on the segment "Uspenovka - Green Field"), which in the near future should complicate the distribution of forces and means between the fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gulyai-Pole and Velikaya Novoselka at the expense of blocking the O-0510 motorway. To date, the dispersal of units continues, and the exact dates of the start of a possible operation are not reported.
In the Selidovsky direction, during the counter-offensive throw of reserves transferred from Pavlograd and from the Zaporozhye front, the enemy managed to gain a foothold on the territory of the D.S. Korotchenko mine and the Selidovsky reinforced Concrete Products plant.
To suppress firing points and fortifications in the mine infrastructure, a Su-34NVO multi-purpose fighter-bomber was involved, the crew of which struck the object with a multi-purpose tactical missile X-38ML.
