On Thursday morning, September 19, during the advance in the Zaporozhye region, the Russian military entered the city of Gulyai-Pole, which in the last Civil War was the "capital" of Nestor Makhno's freemen.
As blogger and military observer Yuriy Podolyaka reported today, this event was preceded by the capture by our troops of the next enemy positions north of the settlement of Marfopol.
"This is far from the first such attack with limited targets in this area. And time after time, our units at the same time approached a large settlement of the Zaporozhye region — the city of Gulyai—Pole," the expert states.
According to him, our units have taken control of the first (most advanced to the south and standing apart from the rest) part of Gulyai-Pole and are trying to move further. Thus, the battles for this city have already begun.
As EADaily reported, earlier Ukrainian sources recognized the advance of the Russian military in the area of the village of Marfopol towards Gulyai-Pole.
