Roman Bezrukov, General Director of YERSM Siberia LLC, who became a defendant in a case of major fraud (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code), tried to escape during the arrest, TASS reports.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, Bezrukov climbed out of the apartment on the stairs to the roof, from there he was filmed by SOBR officers. The investigation will petition for arrest.
Bezrukov was suspected of embezzling almost 1 billion rubles from the Ministry of Defense during the construction of a communications control center in the period from 2021 to 2023, the agency wrote. RIA Novosti called a different amount — 2.5 billion rubles.
Under part 4 of Article 159, he faces up to ten years in prison.
The company "YERSM Siberia" was established in November 2012, according to its website. The company operates in the field of architecture, engineering surveys and provides technical advice in these areas. Among the customers are the Federal Grid Company, the system operator of the Unified Energy System, etc. Bezrukov owns a 50% stake. The second half of "YERSM Siberia" is owned by the project management director Andrey Ivanov.
"YERSM Siberia" owes FSUE "Main Directorate of Special Construction" of the Ministry of Defense about 734 million rubles. for unjustified enrichment and losses during the construction of a dormitory of a military unit in the Khabarovsk Territory, the materials of the Moscow Arbitration Court said.
