The child who attacked pupils and teachers at school No. 68 in Chelyabinsk with a hammer could have been in a neuropsychiatric dispensary before, said Anna Yemelyanova, the mother of the injured girl.
According to her, she was at work at the time of the attack. Her daughter's homeroom teacher called her and demanded to come to school urgently.
"The boy, in general, with a hammer on the head… They said that he used to be in a mental hospital," she said on Channel Five.
Yemelyanova herself does not know the boy. According to the woman, the child studied in the same class with her daughter and had not shown aggression to her before.
Now Yemelyanova's daughter is in a children's clinical hospital, doctors are performing an operation on her. After the girl will be put into a medically induced coma.
