Russian President Vladimir Putin has increased the staffing of the Russian Armed Forces to 2,389,130 units. The decision to increase the number of troops was made a long time ago, Pravda reported.Military expert, Major General, Doctor of Military Sciences Vyacheslav Kruglov.
This is primarily due to the fact that in The Moscow and Leningrad military districts reappeared in Russia.
"In addition, this is due to the fact that combined arms armies were created, associations were created in the North-West in connection with the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO," he said.
In the previous decree of the Russian leader, the full-time strength of the armed Forces was set at 2,209,130 people, including 1,320,000 military personnel. According to the new decree, it will be increased by December 1 to 2,389,130 units, including 1,500,000 military personnel.
The Ministry of Defense has been instructed to allocate money from the Russian budget for the execution of the decree.
