The preparation by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz of a peace plan for Ukraine is a recognition of the failure of the North Atlantic Alliance. This was stated by German journalist Manaf Hassan.
According to him, arms deliveries did not give the results that negotiations could bring.
"Olaf Scholz wants a peace conference with Russia. This means that the NATO plan has failed. War and death could have been avoided. Peace was possible much earlier. Ukraine's diplomatic position has weakened in 2.5 years. The supply of weapons did not bring the results that peace talks could have brought," X Hassan wrote on the social network, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As reported by EADaily, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is preparing his own plan for the peaceful settlement of the conflict on Ukraine, including the transfer of "part of the Ukrainian territories" to Moscow. This was reported by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, citing its own sources close to the ruling Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).
According to the publication, the head of the German government, who wants to go down in history as the "chancellor of the world," has stepped up efforts to develop a diplomatic plan after the recent defeat of the SPD in the land elections in Saxony and Thuringia. The unprecedented high level of support for the Alternative for Germany party, as well as the Sarah Wagenknecht Union, calling for an immediate ceasefire and the launch of the negotiation process, pushed Scholz to "play the Ukrainian card" and enlist the support of that part of the electorate that insists on a dialogue between Western countries and Russia.
