Vavilov: The Prime Minister of Malaysia has either a "steel roof" or the USA — that's it

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim discussed the creation of an Asian Monetary Fund to reduce dependence on the dollar. This is reported by sinologist Nikolai Vavilov in his telegram channel.

The expert cites a message from Bloomberg, quoting the statement of the head of the Malaysian government:

"Malaysia has no reason to continue to depend on the dollar, and the Central Bank of Malaysia is already working to allow the two countries to negotiate trade issues using the ringgit — the national currency of Malaysia, and the yuan."

At the same time, according to Vavilov, Malaysia's policy towards China will continue to remain stable, as Anwar Ibrahim seeks to maintain economic ties without making concessions on controversial issues.

The expert recalls that the Malaysian prime minister is known for his good relations with American politicians, which is why he is sometimes considered pro-Western. According to Vavilov, in the past Anwar Ibrahim expressed concern about the Uighur issue in Xinjiang.

"Answering a question about relations with China, Anwar Ibrahim said that the Asian superpower is a "key" force, ties with the state "must be strengthened," while confirming that relations with other parts of the world are no less important," the sinologist writes.

At the same time, he draws attention to the fact that the head of the Malaysian government arrived in Vladivostok on Eastern Economic Forum (WEF). And his performance, according to Vavilov, "is just a bomb."

"A Western—oriented country openly and boldly talks about Russia's humanity, while the West tries to present us differently, talks about technological cooperation when we are being strangled, talks about financial cooperation when the United States announced a hunt for Russian banks abroad," the analyst writes.

In his opinion, Anvar Ibrahim's speech "certainly brought something new to the style of all presidential forums — humanism, issues of humanity, the importance of Russia in the progress of the development of humanity."

"When even politicians who are neutral or positively neutral towards the West visit Russia, this is an indicator of a colossal victory: moral, military, political. Russia is winning, Putin is winning, we are winning. <> it was not for nothing that Anwar chose Vladivostok for his application to join BRICS — "not One China...“. There is a second center in BRICS — this is Moscow. Malaysia has played a big role as a hub for oil to China. And something else extremely important: Malaysia is a space power, a Muslim country. I would recommend our Muslim regions to take advantage of this chance. Of course, this may be a situational game for Anwar, but the visit is very symbolic," the expert further writes.

He also draws attention to the discussion by Anwar Ibrahim and Xi Jinping on the creation of an Asian Monetary Fund to reduce dependence on the dollar.

"I hope Anwar Ibrahim understands what he is doing — a risky guy. Or his roof is not iron, but steel. Either the USA is everything," the expert says about this.
