Immigrants from neighboring countries, who were legally banned from working in a taxi in the Tyumen region, engaged in the organization of illegal passenger transportation. About it today, on August 27, reports IA URA.With reference to a source familiar with the situation: according to him, foreigners serve only migrants.
"Migrants have created a special chat in Telegram, where foreigners place requests for transportation in Tyumen and the region. And already there they are contacted by drivers who are ready to take an order. That is, here is such an unofficial taxi service. With one amendment: only migrants are in this closed group. It is simply not possible for an outsider to join it," the agency's interlocutor said on condition of anonymity.
He added that the cost of trips in a "taxi for migrants" is lower than that of popular aggregators.
"The average price tag, if we talk about trips within the city limits, is 200-300 rubles. When transporting around the region, the cost is negotiated privately," the insider said.
Earlier, the agency reported that on December 4, 2023, the governor of the Tyumen Region, Alexander Moore, banned foreigners working under patents from being taxi drivers in 2024. Foreigners, in particular, were suspended from passenger transportation activities on urban and suburban transport.
