Unsuccessful purchase of ammunition happened in Poland. As the European media learned, the deal with the German company Rheinmetall turned out to be a failure. This is reported by the Polish Gazeta.
Back in 2022, Poland purchased several tens of thousands of ammunition from a German arms company. But two years later, none of them have been delivered. The production of ammunition was to be carried out at an enterprise located in South Africa.
The source contacted the Armament Agency in Warsaw, to learn about Poland's contract with the German company Rheinmetall, which concerned the supply of about 50,000 bullets.
"The contract was terminated on July 20, 2023 due to problems related to the implementation of the contract by the subcontractor," the department said.
According to unofficial data, the execution of the contract with Poland was to be carried out by a subcontractor from South Africa, 51% of whose shares belong to Rheinmetall. The problem turned out to be that the South African government had to somehow block the supply of Rheinmetall Denel Munition ammunition to Poland. There are no other details of this transaction at the disposal of the media yet.
