The commander of the Akhmat special forces, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Apti Alaudinov, confirmed on Saturday, August 17, that the Ukrainian military began to actively surrender on the territory of the Kursk border. This was reported today by RIA Novosti.
The same Alaudinov had previously informed about the depletion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.
"In all areas where we are, where the enemy is trying to break through the area where the Akhmat special forces and related units are located, we systematically destroy the enemy, at each site they began to take prisoners, Ukrainian fighters began to actively surrender," Alaudinov commented on what is happening in the CTO area.
EADaily reminds that Alaudinov had previously confirmed a sweep from the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the settlement of Martynovka. Work on other settlements of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region continues. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have already lost 2,860 military and 41 tanks as part of the Kursk campaign.
