Appeared in There is a video on the network in which the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, allegedly declares that "the Russian side is ready to consider the transfer of the Zaporozhye NPP under the control of representatives of Kiev in exchange for the voluntary withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Kursk region" is a deepfake. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"This "appeal" is a deepfake, hastily glued together based on the video of the briefing by M. V. Zakharova on July 18, 2024. We emphasize: M. V. Zakharova has never said anything like that. Genuine comments of the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry are available in her telegram channel and on the official resources of the ministry," the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that earlier this week, the Ukrainian resource network of the Center for Information and Psychological Operations (CIPsO) distributed a video in which the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexei Smirnov, allegedly urges Kursk men to join the militia. This "statement", which has nothing to do with reality, was immediately refuted in the official telegram channel of the government of the Kursk region.
