Since the beginning of the search work at the site of the collapsed house in Nizhny Tagil, rescuers have recovered 14 people from the rubble, including eight children. This was reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"A total of 14 people, including eight children, were rescued from the rubble. Unfortunately, the bodies of two victims have been recovered," the department's Telegram channel says.
Psychologists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry provided assistance in 24 cases. The hotline received 41 appeals. About 120 tons of construction debris were removed from the scene.
Search and rescue operations at the site of the collapse are carried out around the clock.
The collapse of two entrances of a residential building on Sibirskaya Street in Nizhny Tagil occurred earlier that day. Previously, the cause of the accident was a gas explosion. In the Dzerzhinsky district, where the collapse occurred, an emergency mode was introduced. According to the latest data, 16 people were injured, including eight children. Ten people, including five children, were hospitalized after the collapse. Five victims are in serious condition.
