The creator of the Telegram messenger, businessman Pavel Durov, recently learned that he is the biological father of more than 100 children in 12 countries. He announced this in his telegram channel.
Durov noted that he had never been married and always preferred to live alone. According to him, 15 years ago a friend asked him to "donate sperm at the clinic so that he and his wife could have a baby." The couple could not have children because of fertility problems.
"I was laughing my head off before I realized that he was absolutely serious," Durov notes.
"The head of the clinic told me that "high—quality donor material" is in short supply and that my civic duty is to donate more sperm to help more couples anonymously," he continued.
Durov stressed that his past donor work has helped more than a hundred couples in 12 countries to have children.
"Moreover, many years after I stopped being a donor, at least in one IVF clinic my frozen sperm is still available for anonymous use by families who want to have children," Durov assured.
"Now I plan to open source my DNA so that my biological children can find each other more easily. Of course, there are risks, but I do not regret that I became a donor," Durov proudly said.
As EADaily reported, a certain Irina Bolgar, who claims to be the mother of Durov's three children, has become more active on social networks. Every photo in social networks with the children of the Bulgarians is marked with the hashtag #durov. According to her, she and her children live in Switzerland. Their marriage with Durov was not registered, while the children bear their father's surname and are officially recognized.
