The decision to supply S-300 missiles to Iran adopted, but the time has not yet ripped for it, Yevgeny Lukyanov, the assistant secretary of the Russian Security Council, said today, on May 26.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov, in turn, said the Russian and Iranian experts are elaborating a contract on delivery of Russian S-300 missiles to Iran.
As EADaily reported earlier, on April 13 2015, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree lifting the ban on supplies of S-300 air defense missile systems to Iran. The contract dating back to 2007 was terminated as UN imposed sanctions against Iran. The contract was signed to supply five S-300 squadrons worth $800 million.
