Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Alexander Zakharchenko has addressed the people on occasion of the Worker’s Day celebrated on May 1. In his speech, Zakharchenko said DPR has established itself as a young state.
“Today we are building our young state enthusiastically. Still not everything comes easily, but despite the intention of our enemies to destroy the republic, I want to state firmly - we have established ourselves as a young state, we are developing and we have won!," the Donetsk News Agency quotes Zakharchenko as saying.
He said they are restoring the infrastructures in the territory under control of the DPR now and creating “premises for leap-ahead economic development.” Zakharchenko is sure that by combined efforts they will make “the common dream” - the strong, independent and prospering country established by the people for the people - come true.
Earlier Zakharchenko said “Ukraine may become part of DPR.” He said DPR will accept all the fraternal republics: “Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Lvov, Odessa, Kiev and others.” In March, the DPR leader announced a multi-currency zone in the self-proclaimed republic.
