A devastating earthquake has occurred in Myanmar and Thailand. Residents of high-rise buildings are being evacuated in Bangkok, TASS reports.
According to the agency, the tremors began at 13.20 local time (09.20 Moscow time). They lasted about 10 minutes. The magnitude was 7.4 points.
A multi-storey building collapsed in Bangkok. There is no information about the victims yet.
The Russian Embassy in Thailand is clarifying the situation regarding possible injured citizens as a result of the earthquake. This was announced by the head of the consular department of the Russian diplomatic mission Ilya Ilyin.
