Latvia has closed the border with Belarus. This was stated in the social network X by Interior Minister Janis Dombrava.
"For technical reasons, the border between Latvia and Belarus is closed," he writes.
He invited those who remained abroad to return to their homeland in a different way.
"We invite those who have not returned to Latvia, use other routes," the minister added.
As reported by EADaily, the damage caused to Latvia during the "Soviet occupation" is estimated at at least 800 billion euros in terms of modern money. This was stated by the chairman of the government commission for calculating the consequences of the occupation, a leading researcher of the Vidzeme Higher School Gatis Krumins.
According to him, the commission is finalizing the preparation of a final report that can be used in international court proceedings.
