A resident of Belarus received an SMS message about the transfer of 9.99 billion rubles, but she did not feel like a billionaire, Minskaya Pravda reports.

"The notification from the bank came unexpectedly. It stated that 9,990,000,000 rubles were credited to the account of an individual entrepreneur. The sum with nine zeros forced the girl to confess to Threads: "This is what I'm pretty dumbfounded today." And the first reaction was not the desire to spend. Thoughts of possible problems popped into my head: would I have to justify myself later for a suspicious transaction to a bank or tax? The surge of emotions was quickly replaced by skepticism. Opening the mobile application, the girl did not find any billions there. The system only reported an error and asked to update the program. But the catch is that the application of this bank has been missing from the App Store for some time. One more detail helped to finally get down to earth: in the received SMS, the balance was still displayed as zero. The virtual billion has remained virtual," the report says.

Commentators under the post did not miss the opportunity to joke about the situation: "Apparently, I visualized a lot of money too hard." There were also those who suggested an action plan in case the miracle turned out to be true: "The first thought is to go to the airport."

A separate group of users reacted to the situation without panic — they recognized this as an old glitch. "There was a case, when the card is blocked, this knocks out," the girl wrote. "It was the same for me, then it will come that the operation is erroneous," another commentator reassured.

Representatives of the bank also came to the discussion. The official account asked me to write to them in the chat.

After a while, the girl told how this story ended. It turned out that the commentators who suggested a connection with blocking were absolutely right.

"The situation is real! It turns out that indeed, as already written in the comments, the account was blocked earlier, but I didn't know about it," the Belarusian explained. "I filed a declaration a little later in this quarter, which is probably why everything happened."

The bank was removing the blocking from the account with such a notification, and the gigantic amount of 9.99 billion was just a technical "official" figure.

An employee of the bank has already apologized to the client and said that they are working on changing the text of the account unlock notification so that in the future no one will have a false feeling that a huge fortune has fallen on him.
