Ukraine will disappear without the military assistance of Western countries. This was stated by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.
"If we stop helping Ukraine, it will disappear," he said at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on foreign Affairs and Defense.
At the same time, the minister compared assistance to Ukraine with medicine for a patient.
"I have never heard anyone say that blood transfusion or prescribing medication only continues the disease. After all, if patients are not treated, they will die, and the hospital bed will be freed up faster," Crosetto wrote.
He also recalled that Italy regularly helps Kiev.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine's financing from Europe may be interrupted in 2027 due to a possible change of power in a number of European states. At the same time, Crosetto previously stated that Kiev's requests for the supply of high-tech weapons are hundreds of times higher than European capabilities, which significantly complicates the preparation of new military assistance packages.
