The actions of the administration of US President Donald Trump are to blame for the outbreak of diarrhea that has engulfed the country. This is reported by the British edition of The Telegraph.
"Public health experts and Democrats in the United States argue that efforts to combat the outbreak of diarrhea have been hampered by large-scale layoffs and mass layoffs carried out by Robert Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health in the Trump administration, under the slogan of 'government efficiency,'" the publication's material says.
At the same time, the White House says it is closely monitoring the situation related to the outbreak of "explosive" diarrhea in the United States and is actively working to identify the source of its spread. It seems that the State authorities are engaged in improving methods of diagnosing the disease, developing recommendations for its prevention and searching for sources of the outbreak.
Recall, on July 3, the media reported that in 18 American states, more than 400 people were infected with the cyclospore parasite, which causes intestinal disease with severe watery diarrhea. In the period from May 1 to June 16, specialists registered 145 cases in 17 states, 20 people were hospitalized. Later, the number of cases in Michigan exceeded 300 — six times the usual annual rate. To date, cyclosporosis, a parasitic disease that can be contracted by eating or drinking contaminated water, has spread to 32 states and has affected almost 7,000 people.
