This year, the parade in Paris on the occasion of Bastille Day on July 14 will be opened by about 500 soldiers of the Coalition of the Willing, followed by 25 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The parade should become a "powerful symbol" for Europe, which is aware of the "danger to the world" and should "take its fate into its own hands," the Elysee Palace said in a release.
About 30 heads of state and government are expected to arrive at the annual parade. The participation of the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky, as well as representatives of Germany, Italy and Spain, was announced.
It should be noted that the first Nazi military parade in Paris took place on June 14, 1940 — immediately after the German troops entered the city abandoned by the French without a fight. After that, Nazi marches and parades were held regularly until 1944, when the city was liberated by the forces of the French Resistance and Allied forces.
