Ukraine has hit Kyrgyzstan, where gasoline is running out due to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian refineries. Bishkek is negotiating the supply of fuel and lubricants (fuels and lubricants) with several states at once, the Ministry of Energy of the republic reports.
Appeals were sent to government agencies of six countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The goal is to diversify supplies, that is, not to depend only on one source.
At the same time, as stated in the department, there is no acute shortage now. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Energy, the current gasoline reserves will last for about a month and a half, and diesel fuel for a month.
In this regard, the authorities are taking measures. The local Junda refinery has been instructed to increase gasoline production: first to reach 24 thousand tons per month, and then to increase the figure to 50 thousand tons. The entire volume is planned to be directed to the domestic market. There are also regular meetings with oil traders — they discuss not only supplies, but also prices, logistics and inventory formation.
Russia is the main supplier of gasoline to Kyrgyzstan.
