The Southern District Military Court sentenced Ruslan Useinov, a resident of the Simferopol district of Crimea, born in 1970, who was found guilty of public calls to commit terrorist activities on the Internet, namely, missile strikes on the territory of Russia.
"The Southern District Military Court found Ruslan Khayserovich Useinov guilty of the charge and sentenced him to 6 years and 6 months of imprisonment with serving his sentence in a general regime penal colony, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of websites, forums, chat rooms and groups on the Internet, for a period of 2 years and 6 months," the press service of the FSB of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol said in a statement.
It was established that the defendant, using the pseudonym Aitmar Aitmarov, posted a comment on the page of one of the online communities calling for missile strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. As noted, the conducted linguistic examination confirmed the presence in the published message of signs of public calls for terrorist activities committed using information and telecommunications networks, including the Internet.
The illegal activity was stopped by the staff of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea. The investigative Department of the FSB initiated and investigated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code Russia's "Public calls to carry out terrorist activities."
