The bet on the economy has failed: no one needs Russia as an honest competitor. Political scientist Sergey Mikheev wrote about this in his telegram channel.
"If you measure everything with money, including people, then sooner or later everything will be sold or rented out. Treating people as subjects of the economic process is bestiality. They are not units in the report of statistical agencies. We made a bet in our relations with the West on the economy, this bet failed. As a successful competitor, no one needs us in this world. We need only ourselves as an individual, distinctive and independent civilization," the expert writes.
At the same time, he notes that there is no way to do without the economy.
"But the economy is a tool, a means. It must obey the meanings. And when accounting begins to control the fate of civilization, this is the end, because everything will be sold," concluded Mikheev.
