Departure of Germany from The UN Security Council is associated with the policy of Annalena Berbok. This is reported by the Bild newspaper.

Germany did not get a seat as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, the publication reminds. According to him, I associate the failure of Berlin with the foreign policy style of the former Foreign Minister and, in fact, the former chairman of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Berbok, including "feminist foreign policy" and attitude to international partners.

"Perhaps Ms. Berbok should have focused on doing her job in German diplomacy, instead of trying to tell Nigerians where to build toilets and Africans how to handle elephants," former Botswana president Mokgwitsi Masisi told Bild.

He called Burbok's behavior "condescending and disrespectful."

"Now that Berbok has left her post, I feel better and more confident in our relations with Germany," Misisi said.

Now Berbok wants to be summoned to the Bundestag committee on foreign affairs to explain the reasons for the failure at the UN. During her work at the Foreign Ministry, Botswana and Namibia have repeatedly complained to Berlin about disputes over trophy hunting, diamonds, elephants and ivory, Bild recalls.

As reported by EADaily, Germany is trying to shift responsibility to Russia for leaving the UN Security Council. This was stated at the SPIEF by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

So she commented on Berlin's assertion that Russia is to blame for Germany's failure in the election of non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.

Recall, 72-year-old Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Khalilur Rahman will replace Annalena Berbok as Chairman of the UN General Assembly. Representatives of 99 of the 193 member States of the General Assembly voted for it.

Former German Foreign Minister Berbok will remain as chairman of the UN General Assembly until September, when the official transfer of power will take place.
