The Russian military has changed the approach to the use of heavy flamethrower systems (TOC) "Solntsepek" in the zone of a special military operation. The newspaper Izvestia writes about this with reference to informed sources.
If earlier the main targets of the CBT were accumulations of enemy manpower and equipment, now priority is given to shelters where drone operators hide, as well as drone control points.
Military expert Yuri Lyamin considers such a change in tactics quite logical, recalling that the defeat of shelters is exactly what CBT was originally created for. Another expert Oleg Zheltonozhko added that the volumetric explosion ammunition used by Solntsepek has a large damage area, which allows it to cover the entire enemy position at once.
Thus, the Russian army adapts its means to new threats, delivering pinpoint strikes on the most dangerous targets.
