Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that ratifies the protocol on termination of the agreement on assistance to refugees of September 24, 1993.
The document was submitted to the State Duma by the head of state himself, the text can be found on the official Government portal of legal acts.
The document says that this agreement has lost its relevance and does not actually apply. The general provisions of the agreement are already contained in Russian laws.
In accordance with them, economic, social and legal guarantees for the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of refugees and internally displaced persons in Russia have been established.
Recall that in October 2025, the decision to cancel the agreement was made by the parties to the agreement at a meeting in Dushanbe. The corresponding protocol was signed by the presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
As EADaily reported, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law aimed at distorting the traditional values of the peoples of Russia and falsifying history.
