A bankrupt Russian businessman seized the Great Imperial Throne in The Hermitage. This is reported by Fontanka.
It is noted that the incident occurred this afternoon. 45-year-old Alexander came to the Great Throne Room of the Winter Palace and read the "manifesto" from the dais.
"The bankrupt entrepreneur and his father read the text from the brought sheets three times, and when an employee of the Hermitage tried to pull it down, he grabbed the knives. The emergency services note that the man managed to sit down on the Big Imperial Throne," the newspaper writes.
According to the man, he is a businessman who suffered because of corruption and loans. After he grabbed two knives, the visitors were evacuated from the hall, and the attacker was detained by the arriving employees of the Rosgvardiya.
According to Fontanka, the man was born in Leningrad, registered in the village of Gorbunki in the Lomonosovsky district of the Leningrad region, the father of two daughters and a son.
As reported by EADaily, the EU imposed sanctions against the director of the Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky. This follows from a document published by official European representatives.
The list also includes Alexey Rtishchev, who heads the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops. The 20th package of sanctions against The Russian Federation includes measures against 46 courts, as well as 117 individuals and 60 legal entities.
